Anónimo 5
Trovador medieval

Nationality: Incerta

Biographical Note:

Unknown author. In the Ajuda Songbook (Cancioneiro da Ajuda), the only manuscript that transmitted it to us, this song (A 277) is preceded by a miniature and followed by a gap. The following folio is again topped by another miniature. This means that the authorship is by a single and well-determined troubadour whose name, unfortunately, we do not know. Resende de Oliveira1, guided by the sequence of authors appearing in the cantigas de amigo’s section of the Italian apographs, suggests the hypothesis of attribution to Afonso Anes do Cotom.
Recenttly, Rios Milhám2 has argued that it could be João Lobeira, but his inclusion in the Ajuda Songbook does not seem to validate this hypothesis.
